WarpRider – I couldn’t quite pin who they reminded me of, but then it came to me.  Don’t shoot me for saying this, but I hear Great White; yeah that 80s band.  It’s not a bad thing, they have a cool classic hard rock appeal with nice clean vocals.  The only real problem I find is that there seems to be a resurgence of this more classic approach.  Though it’s far from the metal I know and love, it’s easy listening to pleasant.  The music just lacks a serious kick in the pants.  3.0

Atleastimhousebroken My cock is rocked.  But unfortunately just in the missionary position. 2.0

Irmelinis – This is very fine classic hard rock, passionate and full of soul, great songwriting and a nice, clean sound.  I really like the bass work in ‘Faith In Me’, the awesome energetic riffs in ‘House of Emerald Wine’ and how it changes to a dark, smooth feeling in ‘Sleepwalking’. Every song has excellent vocals and great flow. Blackwolf’s music is as original and fresh sounding as it can be in this classic genre of music. 3.75

ChristopherMammal – Congratulations to BlackWolf on a debut album that gives a sincere nod to classic rock without trying to be classic rock. Instead it’s a flavoursome retro-rock blend of classic and hard rock with a modern feel. Since the music is excellently performed, the vocals are top quality and all the tracks are good, this should have appeal across generations. It should also please many melodic metal fans. 4.0

A Metal State of Mind Score – 3.2 out of 5

There is currently no new video or promo video I could find for the new album.  This is a taste something from their EP.
