Video Of The Week: Ne Obliviscaris – Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise (live)

This week’s video is from a band I feel deserve a lot more attention; the extreme/progressive metal band Ne Obliviscaris from Australia. Their debut ‘Portal of I’ ended up on many reviewer’s best of the year-lists in 2012, and rightfully so. The technically complex blend of progressive and melodic black metal with jazz and classical influences is stunningly beautiful. The violins play a big part in their songs and it creates a chilling, haunting sound that is impossible not to like.

This is a live video for the song ‘Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise’, with surprisingly good sound. For fans of Opeth, violins, black metal and interesting, fresh sounding music in general.
